Laurel graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (honors) in 2006, and gained a solid grounding as a physiotherapist at a large tertiary hospital in Newcastle. Laurel moved to Sydney in 2009 to focus on working as a neurological physiotherapist.
Since then Laurel's love for helping people achieve their physiotherapy goals has only grown. She spent 5 years working at a private rehabilitation hospital, gaining knowledge and experience, and becoming a Senior Physiotherapist. A couple of years overseas then followed which included volunteering at a physio clinic in Ghana, and working with children with complex disabilities in Vietnam. Both of these where amazing experiences that helped her grow as a clinician and a person.
Laurel returned to Sydney in 2017 to commence working with a leading neurological rehabilitation clinic. Here she developed her clinical skills and gained a solid understanding of the NDIS. She has a special interest in neurological conditions including stroke, TBI, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and MND. She enjoys seeing people in their own homes and community settings.
In 2022, Laurel acted on a long term goal to start her own practice, and Care Mobile Rehab was born.
Outside of work, Laurel enjoys spending time with her gorgeous little boys, swimming and camping.
